Rob and all of the team at RobHedley.com would like to offer our condolences to the families of those killed in the Kent plane crash Including the families of David Leslie and Richard Lloyd. Both of these men were influential figures in and around the Britcar pit lane, one of the Championships Rob is competing in this year. “I can’t believe it, I only greeted David outside of race control at Silverstone the other day at the Britcar press day. I was sat just down from both David and Richard in the drivers briefing on the same day”.

Rob grew up watching David racing the Ecurie Ecosse Vauxhall Vectra in the British Touring Car Championship and always enjoyed seeing him drive. It was with great anticipation to find that he would be competing against him in this year’s Championship. It was during this year’s pre season testing for Britcar that Rob first saw the Jaguar XKR GT3 car prepared by Richard Lloyds Apex Motorsport team. “The car was always immaculate and unbelievably fast. From my small exposure to the team, they always came a across as a very professionally run team”.

Both of these undeniable characters will be greatly missed in the Britcar Pitlane in 2008.
