Despite the downturn in the global economy, plans to race the Aspid in 2009 are still surging ahead with Ignacio (IFR Aspid founder and boss) flying to England for a weeks worth of meetings last week. Ignacio met up with Rob as well as several automotive manufacturing companies.
"Things are really starting to pick up with not only the race program but also the road car sales and production" stated Rob. "There are some very exciting developments are in the pipeline. We can't mention anything at the moment as we are still in the early days. With the current downturn in the global economy, plans are moving a little more slowly than we had planned. However, this week has shown we have a fantastic Car that is generating alot of interest still and there are a lot of people out there that want to see this Car on the track".
Ignacio also took the opportunity to visit the Britcar paddock at their first meeting of the year taking place at Silverstone over the weekend of 28th and 29th of March. "I am very impressed with the setup at Britcar and especially the size of the grids in these hard times. I am looking forward to bringing the Aspid to the Britcar Championship".
